With many awards for innovating new capabilities for their automated machines Saeco continues to have a great presentation. This includes product design excellence from Red Dot Design which focuses on quality in terms of form, functionality, clarity of operation, ergonomics, life-span, environmental impact, degree of innovation and symbolic and emotive content. Another award Saeco received was from Plus X for ecology, ergonomics, innovation, design and ease-of-use. Saeco espresso machine lines scored extremely well when tested on function, reliability, usability and environmental characteristics for the IF Product Design Award. German Stiftung Waretest: GUT 2,3 award also placed Saeco machine products in the top for espresso and cappuccino machines when tested on function, reliability, usability and environmental characteristics. Each passing year Saeco continues to come up with new innovations that are recognized through their awards.

Saeco has partnered with Mavea which is the worldwide leader in water filtering systems and made it available in their Incanto, Talea, Primea espresso machine lines. Impurities, limescale, chlorine, copper and lead are removed using Mavea's water filtering process on Saeco machine line of products. Without Mavea's water filtering the impurities will clog the piping system of Saeco espresso machine products over time and change the taste of the espresso or coffee it produces.
